Aries: This week we experience some energy shifts of legendary proportions that will impact us not just on a personal level but on a global and ideological scale as well. On May 1, Pluto, the planet of transformation and regeneration, goes retrograde in Aquarius, the sign of idealism, change and community. There can be radical power dynamic shifts in the world. During these types of transit, governments tend to change, wars tend to end, and statues of tyrants tend to topple. Then on May 5 we have our full moon/lunar eclipse, also in Pluto’s powerhouse sign of Scorpio, where we have the opportunity to re-learn how, what and why we share, and who we share those things with. We may also be learning that quality is indeed better than quantity.

Taurus: This week we experience some long term and impactful cosmic transits! The first one being Pluto, the planet of transformation, which is turning retrograde in Aquarius, the sign of autonomy, idealism and collectivism. As we challenge old beliefs and build new ones, there can be a shift in the dogma of the whole world and yourself at this time. You may be thinking more outside the box and focusing on the big picture. Then we have the full moon/lunar eclipse in your opposite sister sign of Scorpio. This polarity highlights how things can both oppose one another yet have the same goal or foundation. Taurus is all about the real world, keeping things wholesome, pleasant and simply enjoyable, whereas Scorpio is thinking about what lies beyond and beneath and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. This eclipse shows you that both of these modes have their time and place, and it’s sometimes important to look beyond the surface and to find beauty in the unlikely.

Gemini: This week, two major astrological events shift the status quo. First Pluto turns retrograde in Aquarius and the world begins to think and feel differently. Power dynamics have the potential to shift in terms of the big picture. It is an ideal time to lend a hand to others or to connect with the community, get out of your comfort zone, and hear out those with different perspectives from your own. Then we have the full moon/lunar eclipse in Scorpio, which opposes the sun in Taurus. Here we reflect and recalibrate on the concepts of give and take, and we find balance between sharing what we love and taking care of ourselves.

Cancer: This week, Pluto turns retrograde on May 1 and challenges the status quo with its transformative and idealistic energy. These types of long term transits impact the world at large and can cause political and ideological shifts. Meanwhile the full moon/lunar eclipse in fellow water sign Scorpio highlights the need for balance when it comes to what we choose to conceal and what we choose to reveal about ourselves. You can do each at different times.

Leo: This is your opportunity to use your gift for thinking fast and being open minded. This week on May 5 there is a full moon/lunar eclipse occurring in Scorpio that will oppose the sun in Taurus. This transit will highlight the balance between things that should stay as they are and things that need to be changed. There is a reconciling of transformation and consistency. There will also be a Pluto retrograde in Aquarius that shifts the power dynamics of the world around you, don’t be surprised if you see some old rules fall by the wayside over the coming months.

Virgo: This week, the moon in your sign on April 30 and May 1 has you feeling confident and curious about what else you are capable of. This feeling grows throughout the week until the culmination of the full moon/lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 5. This lunation opposes the sun and strikes a balance between what we do for others and what we do for ourselves. We need to understand the difference and also the overlap of those things. Exploring your limits is worthwhile.

Libra: The moon in your sign on May 2 and 3 this week has you feeling energized and very much like yourself. As the week progresses the moon culminates into fullness plus a lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 5, which transforms your energy and has you thinking clearly. This lunation opposes the sun in Taurus and highlights the idea that you must find balance between the things you conceal and the things you reveal. Perhaps you need to practice keeping secrets better or practice being honest where it is needed. Focus on being kind, not on being nice.

Scorpio: This week is all about your ruler Pluto as it in turns retrograde in idealistic and rebellious Aquarius on May 1. We know how Pluto loves to do its own thing (orbit in reverse) and that Aquarius loves to stand out from the crowd. Together these powerful energies combine to bring about power dynamic shifts and ideological upheavals. It is a time of transformation for the self as well as the world, and it could be just the change you’d been waiting for. It’s followed by a full moon/ lunar eclipse in your sign on May 5 that opposes your opposite sister sign of Taurus. This transit highlights your desire to bring the dreams from your heart and mind into the realm of the tangible.

Sagittarius: This week, transformative yet mysterious Pluto turns retrograde in rebellious Aquarius on May 1. You’re no stranger to switching things up and doing things your own way, so it can feel quite invigorating as this transit creates long term power dynamic shifts and ideologic upheavals in your world both interpersonally and globally. It can be just the thing you need to shake you awake. The full moon in Scorpio on May 5 adds to the Pluto vibes and can help to shed light on a previously concealed matter.

Capricorn: This week, retrograde season continues as Pluto, the planet of transformation and mystery turns retrograde in Aquarius, the sign of optimism and innovation. These attributes join forces to create an ideological shift in the world at large and promote peace and unification through new ways of thinking and connecting. It can be a hopeful yet chaotic time. Shortly after this we have a full moon and lunar eclipse in Scorpio which opposes the sun in Taurus. This lunation reminds us to find balance between two seemingly opposite concepts and to realize that destruction and creation are two sides of the same coin. You may be ending something old and starting something new.

Aquarius: This week Pluto the planet of secrets and transformation turns retrograde in your sign on May 1. This can be a time of deep self reflection and actualization. Perhaps pursuits of the material or egotistical sort have left you feeling flat or not quite like yourself. It is an ideal time to reach out and find yourself in relation to others. Then on May 5 there is a full moon/lunar eclipse, also in Pluto ruled Scorpio, that reminds us to give back as much (if not more) than we take, and to treat ourselves well while not forgetting about the world. It’s all about balancing two seemingly opposite things, but you can’t successfully do one without the other.

Pisces: This week Pluto, the planet of regeneration and transformation, turns retrograde in rebellious and optimistic Aquarius. This powerful transit has been known to create political and ideological shifts in the world and to inspire change in people. It can be a time of profound realization and revelation. Meanwhile a full moon/lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 5 creates a polarity with its opposite sister sign of Taurus. It has us rethinking what we keep and what we give a way, what we conceal and what we reveal, and where we place our values concerning both the material and spiritual realm. It is a meditation on balance and the reconciling of seemingly opposite things.
