INCIDENTS
— At 10 a.m. Oct. 31, someone stole 25 boxes of floor tiles from a doorless room inside an office building in the 1300 block of Walnut Street. Security video showed a black male in his late 20s and a black male in his early 30s stealing the boxes. — Between 9:45 a.m.-12:10 p.m. Nov. 2, someone entered an apartment in the 1300 block of Spruce Street without force and stole money, laptops, jewelry and a video camera. Central Detective Division processed the scene for evidence and latent fingerprints.
— At 5 p.m. Nov. 3, a woman had her handbag over the back of a chair inside El Vez, 121 S. 13th St., and discovered a wallet had been stolen. Security video showed it was taken by a white female, about 60, wearing a puffy jacket and jeans.
— At 11:10 a.m. Nov. 4 at TD Bank, 121 S. Broad St., a man handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was produced. The teller gave him money and he left, and she then sounded the alarm. The teller recognized the suspect as a regular customer and positively identified him to investigators. An arrest warrant has been obtained. The suspect was described as a thin black male with a beard, 45 years old, 5-foot-7, wearing a black hoodie.
— Between 7:30-11 p.m. Nov. 4, someone stole a purse from an unlocked 2005 Honda parked in the 1200 block of Spruce Street. Sixth District Officer Sweeney attempted to lift fingerprints.
NON-SUMMARY ARRESTS
— At 11:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 6th District Officers Fererro and Hill observed an illegal narcotics transaction outside 13th and Walnut streets. Apprehended and charged with illegal narcotics sales was a 33-year-old suspect with a West Philadelphia address. Recovered were three packets of crack cocaine and a bag of marijuana.
— At 1:15 p.m. Oct. 31, a woman took money from a tip jar at Zara Brow Bar inside the Gallery, 901 Market St. The complainant followed the suspect, demanding the money back, until Center City Officer DeLeon observed and took the female into custody. The 18-year-old suspect with a West Philadelphia address was charged with theft, and the money was returned to the complainant.
— At 2 a.m. Nov. 3, 6th District Officers Colon and Graner responded to a call of a burglary in progress at the Gallery, 901 Market St., where a witness informed the officers a female ripped the security grate from the Subway restaurant and was stopped by Gallery security. The 34-year-old suspect with a Camden address was charged with burglary and related offenses. Recovered from the suspect was cash that was apparently from the store’s register.
SUMMARY ARRESTS
— At 12:30 a.m. Nov. 1, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1200 Spruce St.
— On Nov. 2, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 12:45 a.m. outside 1300 Chancellor St. and at 11:35 a.m. outside 1200 Chestnut St.
— At 10:30 p.m. Oct. 31, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1300 Chestnut St.
