Youth dance for AIDS awareness

Philadelphia FIGHT’s Youth Health Empowerment Project will join local youth with performers from around the world next week for a unique awareness-raising dance show.

The grand finale of the Heart Connection Tour will take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 27 at the University of the Arts Hamilton Hall, 320 S. Broad St.

The tour, organized by Dutch-based dance4life, educates youth on HIV/AIDS prevention and motivates them to be active in their community. The finale will include live satellite performances from dancers in 28 countries.

Y-HEP, a health and leadership-development program for at-risk teens, is the only U.S. site in the project.
