After the recent presidential debate on Sept. 10, it has never been more clear that if you haven’t done so already, you need to register to vote ASAP.

In order to vote in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state where every vote really can make a difference, you need to be a resident at least 30 days prior to the Nov. 5 election date. Registering is super simple and can be done online. All you need to do is visit https://bit.ly/3ZBcNP5. You can fill out the online form directly or you can print out a form and deliver it to your voter registration office. You can also mail the form to your county registration office. As long as you register to vote before Oct. 21, 2024, you’re good to go.

There are also numerous resources to ensure your right to vote is protected. If you encounter any issues while voting, you can call the state’s year-round voter hotline at 1-877-VOTESPA (1-877-868-3772) for help. If you believe voting rules are being violated, be sure to notify the Judge of Elections at your polling place. You can also report it through the election complaint form or contact your county election office directly. If you need assistance due to a disability, poll workers can provide information on accessible voting options. Language support may also be available for anyone who needs help with English. And if a poll worker says you’re not eligible to vote on the county’s system, you can request a provisional ballot, which will be reviewed by election officials to determine if it can be counted.
