Philadelphia Gay News sat down with Kareem Mims, who works as the Prevention Health Care Coordinator for Prevention Point Philadelphia. Mims, an openly gay man, talks about his experiences working within a crucial community outreach organization that is seeing more and more representation within its workforce every day. The resources that Prevention Point offers the community of Kensington are deeply personal for Mims, whose own background has shaped the way he wants to create and foster progress with an emphasis on humanizing the people who receive care without stigma.
