On February 12, 2021, Christopher “Carlos” Perez transitioned from this world. Carlos was well known in the Philadelphia Gay Community from Woody’s to the Bike Stop. Carlos was a constant presence at weekly Two-Step nights. For so many of us Carlos was a dear friend that was more like a kid brother. Carlos was one of the kindest souls you could meet. If you went to Two-Step he was always ready to dance or teach someone to dance. From rollerblading Center City to running around New York City, he never lost his joy and youthfulness. Carlos would make sure we all showed up for a gay roller skate party in Camden to Pride events in Philly. For so many of us his presence will diminish our community. Carlos leaves behind many friends and family, but his loss will be forever felt by his loving husband Davyd Booth.
