The chief of staff for Brian Sims, Pennsylvania’s first elected openly gay state lawmaker, will leave his position June 17, according to a mass email he sent today.
Mason Lane has served as Sims’ chief of staff since December 2012, according to his LinkedIn, and called his tenure “a wonderful and fulfilling time.” He wrote June 8 that he will be moving to a project outside government.
Tim Keller will take over as Sims’ chief of staff. For the past two years, Keller has served as district director for Sims.
“Tim brings so much to this position,” Lane wrote.
