LasciviousJane is International Ms. Leather 2016

LasciviousJane, Ms. Philadelphia Leather 2015 and artistic director of Liberty City Kings, has been named International Ms. Leather 2016.

From April 14-17 at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, Calif., four women competed for the title of International Ms. Leather (IMsL), and three women competed for the title of International Ms. Bootblack (IMsBB).

This year was IMsL’s 30th anniversary, which drew a crowd of almost 1,000 people for a weekend full of educational workshops, sexy performances, dungeon parties, dance parties and the contests.

Keynote speaker and noted leather historian Viola Johnson summed up the weekend by describing the importance of continuing to build and expand our community by never forgetting those who came before us, building on the foundation they laid and passing our stories down from one generation to the next.

LasciviousJane faced strong competition from an amazing group of women including Great Lakes Ms. Leather Pride 2015 Aurora Lee, Ms. Sydney Australia Leather 2015 Miss BEEhave and Oklahoma Ms. Leather 2015 Slavegirl Marion. They were evaluated in the following categories: interview, which included a teaching component, speech and formal wear, fantasy performance, pop question and hot wear, and public image, which included a silent auction component.

Competitors for IMsBB included Ms. Great Plains Olympus Leather 2008/09 and Southwest Bootblack 2014 Angel, Great Lakes Bootblack 2015 Meghan and Southwest Bootblack 2015 Shelly. They were evaluated in the following categories: interview, technical skills, speech and formal wear, pop question and bootblack wear and public image. When the scores were tabulated, Meghan was named International Ms. Bootblack 2016.

As winner of the IMsL title, LasciviousJane received a beautiful leather sash, a generous prize package and the opportunity to travel to leather and other LGBT community events as representative of the IMsL Foundation, whose core mission is to support the development of sex-positive communities, provide education on alternative sexuality and sexual freedom and enable leaders to articulate the values, goals and visions of their diverse communities.

LasciviousJane was supported in San Jose by Bootblack Boy Ed from Pittsburgh and a small team of her producers, friends and loved ones. She was supported in Philadelphia by a huge crowd that gathered on the third floor of the Bike Stop to watch a live stream of the event both Friday and Saturday nights, which was made possible by The Leather Journal and was hosted by our current Ms. Philadelphia Leather 2016 Alaina Hummel and Mr. Philadelphia Leather 2016 Rudy Flesher, and by LasciviousJane’s sash husband Mr. Philadelphia Leather 2015 Jason Hall.

The Philadelphia Leather contests are co-produced by the Bike Stop and Philadelphians MC. LasciviousJane is their fourth national titleholder, after International Mr. Leather 1986 Scott Tucker, Ms. World Leather 2005 Pandora and American Leathergirl 2006 Dawn Marie.
