“The pope. His support would make a huge difference. I was raised a Catholic. I’d like to see the Catholic Church become more liberal. A lot of Catholics still follow what the pope has to say. It would be interesting to see their reactions if he supported marriage equality.”

“Mick Jagger. I think he would have a great deal of influence on Middle America. Everyone loves a rock star. He has fans across the board. He’s always been a rock-and-roll icon for me. Anyone can dance to his music.”

“Pema Chadron. She’s a Buddhist spiritual leader. She has good balance. She’s easily understood by people from all walks of life. She appeals to the compassion that exists within everyone. I do aspire to emulate the peace and strength she puts out to the world.”
