“No, it’s perfect the way it is. There’s no need to make any changes. The rainbow flag has a beautiful tradition. We should honor its history but we should also emphasize that the LGBT community embraces people of color in their struggle for equality.”

“Temporarily, I would add a brown stripe. It would be a wonderful show of support for the African-American community. They could use all the support they can get, after the Zimmerman verdict. When things settle down, the colors should revert back to colors in a rainbow.”

“Yes. Why not add a red, white and blue stripe? We all need to come together as Americans. There’s too much splintering of people into special-interest groups. I think a red, white and blue stripe would drive home the point that we’re all Americans.”

“I think it would be a nice gesture. I’m Mexican and consider myself a brown person. There’s a lot of racism that includes brown and black people. It would be nice to add brown and black stripes to the flag. It could help bring people together.”
