INCIDENTS
— Between 10 p.m. March 24 and 8:05 a.m. March 25, someone smashed the window of a 2008 Toyota that was parked in the 900 block of Spruce Street and stole a GPS. — Between 8-9:50 p.m. March 25, someone cut the lock off a locker inside the fitness center at 1315 Walnut St. and stole a wallet and rings. — At 6:15 p.m. March 27, a man and his acquaintance got into an argument inside the Starbucks at 1301 Chestnut St., and the acquaintance sprayed the man with Mace or pepper spray. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. He was described as a white male in his 20s, 6-foot-1, with a medium build and blonde hair, wearing a black hoodie. An arrest warrant will be obtained. — At 6 p.m. March 27, a man reported his laptop missing from inside his apartment in the 100 block of South 11th Street. He last saw it March 22. There was no forced entry into the premises and the landlord and his girlfriend have keys. Both denied being in the property. — Between 8-9 p.m. March 28, someone stole a bicycle from outside 1315 Walnut St. — At 4 p.m. March 29, a male on a bicycle rode past a woman at the bus stop at 1000 Market St. and snatched two chains from her neck. He was described as a black male, about 30, wearing all black clothing.
NON-SUMMARY ARRESTS
— At 9:35 a.m. March 26, Center City District bike patrol Officers Pagan and Moore observed an illegal narcotics transaction at 1000 Market St. They arrested a 54 year-old suspect with a Northeast Philadelphia address and charged him with illegal narcotics sales, as well as a 39-year-old suspect who was charged with illegal possession of narcotics. — At 4:30 p.m. March 29, a woman had her handbag hanging on a hook under the bar at El Vez, 121 S. 13th St., when a female sat down next to her and started acting suspiciously. The woman checked and found her wallet missing from the handbag as the female was getting up to leave. The manager and complainant confronted the female outside, called police and 6th District bike patrol Officer Keenan detained the female and found the wallet in her possession. She was also in possession of items taken in a theft at 1801 Spruce St. on March 27. The suspect was charged with two counts of theft and related offenses, and the investigation continues into her possible involvement in other thefts in the area. — At 1:45 a.m. March 29, 6th District Officer Loggia arrested a male outside 1200 Pine St. who was wanted for probation violations. The 26-year-old suspect with a Germantown address was charged with escape.
