INCIDENTS
— Between 4-6 p.m. Nov. 12, someone stole a bicycle from a locked rear gated area in the 1000 block of Spruce Street.
— At 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12, a male snatched a man’s iPhone in the 1100 block of Market Street. The suspect was described as a black male, about 35, 5-foot-10 with a beard and wearing a dark hoodie and jeans.
— At 2:30 a.m. Nov. 13, three males punched a man in the 200 block of South Juniper Street and stole his wallet. The suspects were described as black males with thin builds wearing dark clothing.
— Between 2-4:10 p.m. Nov. 15, someone stole a secured bicycle from outside 124 S. 13th St.
— At 5:20 p.m. Nov. 15, a man had his earphones snatched from around his neck in the 1100 block of Market Street by a male, 5-foot-7, wearing a blue jacket.
— At 2 p.m. Nov. 18, a man grabbed a gold chain from a woman’s neck at 12th and Market streets. The suspect, who was on a red bike, was described as a black male in his 20s, 5-foot-8, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
— Between 10 p.m. Nov. 13 and 8 a.m. Nov. 14, someone stole a bicycle from the rear yard of a residence in the 400 block of South 10th Street.
NON-SUMMARY ARRESTS
— At 2:20 a.m. Nov. 13, a man was sitting at a bus stop at 800 Market St. when three males accosted him and stole his cell phone and wallet. The victim alerted a passing police officer, who broadcast the suspects’ descriptions over police radio. Sixth District Officers Stone and Erwin stopped three males at Eighth and Willow streets and they were positively identified by the victim, whose wallet was recovered. The suspects, ages 20, 25 and 30, all with North Philadelphia addresses, were charged with robbery and related offenses.
— On Nov. 13, members of the Citywide Vice Unit made arrests for prostitution at 9:30 p.m. at 1200 Locust St.; 10:10 p.m. at 200 S. 12th St.; 10:30 p.m. at 100 S. 12th St.; 10:50 p.m. at 1200 Locust St.; and 11:15 p.m. at 100 S. 13th St.
— At 1:20 a.m. Nov. 14, a woman left her handbag on the floor inside Woody’s, 202 S. 13th St., while she used the restroom and, upon her return, it was missing. She notified 911. The premises was checked, and a witness found a male in the men’s room with the bag. The suspect fled the property, and 6th District Officer Loggia responded to the 911 call and engaged in a foot pursuit. He apprehended the suspect and recovered the woman’s handbag. The 46-year-old suspect with a North Philadelphia address was charged with theft and related offenses.
— At 4:05 p.m. Nov. 16, a man’s iPhone was snatched from his hand while he was walking on the northbound subway platform at 201 S. Broad St. SEPTA police chased and apprehended a 17-year-old suspect with a Brewerytown address, who was charged with theft and related offenses.
SUMMARY ARRESTS
— On Nov. 12, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 1:45 p.m. outside 1215 Walnut St. and 9:15 p.m. outside 13th and Walnut streets.
— At 8:45 p.m. Nov. 14, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1302 Walnut St.
— At 12:10 a.m. Nov. 17, five teenagers, ages 16 and 17, were stopped in the 1000 block of Market Street and found to be in violation of curfew. The three males and two females, all from Wilmington, Del., were taken to the 6th District, issued citations and released to their parents.
— On Nov. 17, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 3:15 p.m. outside 1101 Market St., 5:30 p.m. outside 135 S. 13th St. and three at 10 p.m. outside 233 S. 13th St.
— On Nov. 18, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 8:10 p.m. outside 1300 Walnut St. and 10 p.m. at 121 S. Broad St.
