The Philadelphia Liberty Tennis Association came out victorious at last weekend’s Atlantic Cup tournament. About 100 players from Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia came together for the annual tournament, which hasn’t been staged in Philadelphia for about a decade. PLTA president Daniel Killian explained that players competed in numerous brackets, from beginner to advanced, and the PLTA team had the highest combined score. When not on the court at venue Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education center, tournament-goers also participated in a party at ICandy and a banquet at the Loews Hotel Saturday night.
