INCIDENTS
— At 12:40 a.m. June 13, police responded to a call at Aki Japanese Restaurant, 1210 Walnut St., and found the doors unlocked. Police checked the property and nobody was inside. The owner came to the property and stated that they forgot to lock the doors at 11 p.m. when they left. A check of the premises found that cash was missing from the register. Sixth District Officer McCauley attempted to lift fingerprints.
— At 7:20 a.m. June 13, an employee heard noise from a room inside Jefferson University Hospital, 111 S. 11th St., and saw a male walking away. It was found that an access panel in the wall between rooms was knocked out and two video cameras were missing. The suspect was described as a black male, 35 years old, 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds with a shaved head and wearing a blue shirt. Central Detective Division processed the scene for fingerprints.
— Between 2-3:45 p.m. June 13, victim’s secured bicycle was stolen from outside 1200 Locust St.
— Between noon-3:15 p.m. June 14, someone smashed the window of complainant’s 2003 Ford, parked in the paid garage at 900 Walnut St., and stole a GPS. This report was received by the DPR Unit via phone, thus police were not dispatched.
— Between 5:40-7 p.m. June 16, complainant’s secured bicycle was stolen from outside 300 S. Ninth St.
— Between noon-2:40 p.m. June 17, complainant’s secured bicycle was stolen from outside 201 S. Broad St.
— At 2:25 a.m. June 18, complainant was walking west on Locust Street at 12th when a male snatched the cell phone from her hand and fled east on Locust. The offender was described only as a black male.
— Between 3 p.m. June 18 and 2 a.m. June 19, the rear screen door to complainant’s apartment in the 1000 block of Spruce Street was forcibly pulled open and two laptops were stolen. Officer Corrado attempted to lift fingerprints.
— Between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 19, an out-of-towner’s 2005 Toyota, parked in the paid lot at 1300 Locust St., had a window smashed and a laptop stolen. This report was received by the DPR Unit via phone, thus police were not dispatched.
ARRESTS
— At 11:10 p.m. June 13, 6th District Officers Macchione and Cifelli arrested a male for failure to pay inside the IHOP, 1320 Walnut St. The 17-year-old suspect with a West Philadelphia address was charged with theft by deception.
— At 9:35 a.m. June 14, 6th District Officer Braceland arrested a male outside 1300 Walnut St. who was wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear for court. The 31-year-old suspect with a Berlin, N.J., address was charged with contempt of court.
— At 7:45 p.m. June 14, 6th District Bicycle Patrol Officers Ferrero and Blackburn arrested two males and a female outside 1322 Locust St. for summary offenses; one of the males had crack cocaine in his pocket and the other had a crack pipe in his pocket. The 25-year-old male with a Center City address was charged with possession of crack cocaine and the 39-year-old male with a West Philadelphia address was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The female was charged with a summary offense.
— At 10:40 p.m. June 14, 6th District Officers Duncan and Burrell arrested a male wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear for court outside 1234 Locust St. The 45-year-old offender with a homeless-shelter address was charged with contempt of court.
— At 8:30 p.m. June 15, 6th District bicycle officers arrested four males for summary offenses outside 201 S. 13th St.
— At 12:05 a.m. June 16, 6th District officers arrested a male for a summary offense outside 1300 Locust St.
— At 5 p.m. June 16, 6th District officers arrested a male for a summary offense outside 1222 Locust St.
— At 9:40 p.m. June 16, 6th District officers arrested a male for a summary offense outside 1300 Locust St.
— At 8:30 p.m. June 17, 6th District officers arrested a male for a summary offense outside 1200 Walnut St.
— At 1:20 a.m. June 19, a witness flagged down 6th District Bicycle Patrol Officer Erwin and stated he saw a male take a cell phone from the lap of a male who was asleep on the steps outside 1210 Locust St. The complainant was awakened and found that his cell phone was missing Officer Erwin stopped a male at Broad and Locust streets who was identified by the witness and the complainant’s phone was recovered. The 21-year-old suspect with a South Philadelphia address was charged with theft.
— At 6:25 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. June 19, 6th District officers arrested two males for summary offenses outside 301 S. 13th St. and 201 S. 13th St.
