Freedom Pages and Tabu organized a “Wear Purple Party” to memorialize at least six LGBT teen suicides from the past month and raise money for The Attic Youth Center. More than 100 people attended the Oct. 20 event, which raised $700 for the center. The “Wear Purple” concept originated on Facebook, in recognition of the stripe in the rainbow flag that symbolizes spirit. Photo: Scott Drake
