Should Philadelphia have a trans crosswalk?

Hannah Herrera
restaurant manager | Gayborhood
"I have no problem with it. I don’t see why anyone else should have a problem with it. I think it would be a very nice show of support for the trans community. They’re having a difficult time under the Trump administration."

Priscilla Medina
salon assistant | Collingswood, N.J.
"Yes. Trans people are the ones facing the hardest challenges so we should focus on them. We should definitely hone in on their struggles. It’s always a good thing to acknowledge people’s struggles and do whatever we can to help."

Ezra Skobeloff
copywriter | Gayborhood
"Yes. I thought it was really cool when I first saw the LGBT crosswalk in the Gayborhood. Even though I’m straight, I felt a sense of pride that I live in such a welcoming city. So if trans people want a separate trans crosswalk, I’m all for it."

Elizabeth Witte
server | Stony Point, N.Y.
"I understand the value of unity. But even if only a few trans people want a trans crosswalk, it can’t hurt to have that. Why not have both an LGBT crosswalk and a trans crosswalk? I don’t see one as detracting from the other."
