Gayborhood Crime Watch: March 21-April 3, 2016

INCIDENTS 

— At 7 p.m. March 27, a woman was in the concourse level of the Gallery, 1100 Market St., when a man she knew showed her a gun in his waistband and stole her iPhone. The suspect has been identified to Central Detectives, who was obtaining an arrest warrant for robbery. 

 

— At 5:30 p.m. March 31, a man was walking in the PATCO concourse, 1300 Locust St., when two men sprayed him with mace. They were described as black, between 15-18. One was 5-foot-9 with a light complexion and was wearing a gray hoodie. The other had short hair and a light complexion and was wearing a red T-shirt. 

— At 4 a.m. April 1 a domestic dispute inside the PATCO subway concourse, 1300 Locust St., escalated into an assault and theft. Central Detectives are aware of the suspect’s identity, and an arrest warrant is pending investigation.

— There was three thefts from parked vehicles reported March 21-April 3: outside 111 S. 11th St., 511 Addison St. and 1000 Irving St. 

— There were three bicycle thefts reported March 21-April 3: outside 204 S. 12th St., 1221 Locust St. and 401 S. Broad St. 

NON-SUMMARY ARRESTS

— At 10:45 p.m. March 25, Sixth District plainclothes Officers Ferrero and Grant investigated a man outside 200 S. Camac St. and found he was in possession of heroine.  The 29-year-old man with a Pottstown address was charged with possession of narcotics.

— At 6:30 p.m. March 29, someone stole a patron’s cell phone from inside the bar at 1330 Walnut St. On March 30, the phone owner was contacted by a man who said he would sell the phone back to him at Broad and Walnut streets. Sixth District Officers Hill and Cash were notified and apprehended the man and recovered the phone. The suspect was also wanted on a warrant for a February robbery inside the Wendy’s at 1101 Walnut St. The 21-year-old West Philadelphia man was charged with robbery, theft and related offenses.

— At 1:40 a.m. March 31, members of the Citywide Vice Unit made an arrest outside 400 S. 13th St. for prostitution. 

— On April 2, Sixth District plainclothes Officers Ferrero and Grant arrested a man at the subway entrance at 227 S. Broad St. who was in possession of 10 packets of crack cocaine. The 56-year-old suspect with a South Philadelphia address was charged with possession of a controlled substance. 

— At 1 a.m. April 3, Ninth District officers investigating an accident outside 219 S. Broad St. found that the operator of the striking vehicle was intoxicated. The 23-year-old suspect with a Marlton, N.J., address was charged with DUI.

SUMMARY ARRESTS 

— At 9:15 a.m. March 22, Sixth District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1101 Market St.

— On March 24, Sixth District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 12:45 a.m. outside 1200 Latimer St., 1:35 a.m. outside 1100 Market St. and 6 p.m. outside 201 S. Broad St.

— At 3:05 a.m. March 25, Sixth District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1304 Walnut St. 

— On March 26, Sixth District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 12:55 a.m. outside 1200 Chancellor St., 1:15 a.m. outside 200 S. 13th St., 8:05 p.m. outside 200 S. 13th St. and 8:35 p.m. outside 1301 Locust St. 

— On March 29, Sixth District officers issued citations at 4 p.m. outside 1300 Drury St., 6:55 p.m. outside 1308 Drury St. and 10:15 p.m. outside 201 S. Broad St. at 10:15 PM. 

— At 3:50 a.m. March 30, Sixth District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 200 S. Juniper St. 

— On March 31, Sixth District officers issued a citation for a summary offense at 12:30 a.m. outside 200 S. Juniper St. and 3:30 a.m. outside 1200 Chancellor St.

— On April 1, Sixth District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 2:20 a.m. outside 200 S. 13th St., 8:45 p.m. outside 202 S. 13th St. and 11:15 p.m. outside 1200 Market St.

— At 12:45 a.m. April 2, Sixth District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1200 Latimer St.
