Snow causing cancellations

Several local organizations are gearing up for this weekend’s expected snowfall by canceling or rescheduling events and programming. To report a cancellation or closing, email [email protected]

— William Way LGBT Community Center is closed on Saturday, Jan. 23. All regular programs and special events have been cancelled. Sunday hours have yet to be determined; check www.waygay.org or call 215-732-2220 for more information. 

— Philadelphia Family Pride has rescheduled its planned trip to the Camden Aquarium from Jan. 23 to Jan. 30. More information is available at www.facebook.com/events/1652013858420789/.  

— The Philadelphia Falcons soccer club has rescheduled its annual banquet from Jan. 23 to Feb. 26 at William Way; www.facebook.com/events/109914836032716/

— Phoenixville Our Night Out at SIPS is postponed from Jan 23. to Feb. 6.

— SEPTA will suspend all service except for the Broad Street Subway and Market-Frankford Line from 4 a.m. Jan. 23-4 a.m. Jan. 24. Keep up to date at septa.org. 

— All flights into and out of Philadelphia International Airport have been cancelled for Jan. 23. 

— Because a snow emergency is in place, the Philadelphia Parking Authority will not enforce metered parking after 9 p.m. Jan. 22. All vehicles parked on snow-emergency routes must be moved, or they will be ticketed and towed.

— Discounted Center City parking is available from 5 p.m. Jan. 22 through the time the snow emergency is lifted. The PPA rate of $5 for 24 hours is available at Philadelphia Family Court Garage (1503 Arch St.), AutoPark (10th and Ludlow; 801 Filbert St.; 44 N. Ninth St.; Fifth and Market streets; and Second and Sansom streets ) and Gateway (1540 Vine St.).
