Mayor-elect Jim Kenney announced his transition team Thursday, and the list includes several LGBT people.
Attorney and former city Human Services Coordinator Alba Martinez will serve as co-chair of the team. She will work alongside state Rep. Dwight Evans and transition director Jessie Bradley.
Sara Jacobson, co-chair of Liberty City LGBT Democratic Club, will serve on the Public Safety Committee, while Renee Gillinger, a former co-chair of Liberty City LGBT, will sit on the Commerce and Economic-Development Committee.
Jeff Guaracino was named to the DNC Preparation Committee. Dr. Marla Gold will co-chair the Human Services Committee, which will also include member Jane Shull, executive director of Philadelphia FIGHT, and Sister Mary Scullion, director of Project HOME.
