A small fire broke out at the Parker-Spruce Hotel in the Gayborhood Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 3:45 p.m. at 261 S. 13th St. and was deemed under control shortly after. The building was evacuated and no injuries are being reported.
The fire was concentrated on the north side of the building, on the ninth floor, where smoke was seen billowing from the windows.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire or the extent of damages, but several windows are broken. Traffic is being detoured around the area.
