INCIDENTS — On Oct. 13 (reported Oct. 14), a man was at 13th and Walnut streets holding a $20 bill in his hand when a male demanded the money and punched him, stealing the money and two scarves. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s with a light complexion and heavy build, bald and clean-shaven wearing a blue T-shirt.

— At 10:10 p.m. Oct. 16, a man had an argument with his companion in the subway concourse at 1300 Market St., and the companion snatched his Transpass and went onto the train platform. The Transpass owner jumped the turnstile and confronted the other male, and a brief struggle ensued before the owner contacted SEPTA Police. The suspect was identified to investigators, and a warrant will be obtained.

— At 12:55 p.m. Oct. 17, someone stole an iPhone from a stroller inside 10,000 Villages, 1122 Walnut St. The suspect was a black male in his 40s, 5-foot-7, 160 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair, a beard, black glasses and dark-blue clothing.

— Between noon-4 p.m. Oct. 18, items were stolen from a mailbox inside an apartment building in the 1100 block of Spruce Street.

— At 7:30 a.m. Oct. 19, a Jefferson University Hospital security officer observed a male cutting a secured bicycle from the bike rack outside 1020 Walnut St. and called police. The suspect was taken into custody and identified, and the bike was taken for safe keeping until the owner can be found. The bike is a blue Diamondback. NON-SUMMARY ARRESTS

— At 1:35 p.m. Oct. 15, 6th District Officer Ferrero arrested a male outside 214 S. 12th St. who was wanted for probation violations. The 25-year-old suspect was charged with escape.

— On Oct. 17, the 6th District Narcotic Enforcement Team set up surveillance at 10th and Market streets and observed an illegal narcotics transaction outside 942 Market St. A 45-year-old Southwest Philadelphia woman, a 42-year-old Northeast Philadelphia man and a 31-year-old Shemong, N.J., man were arrested and charged with illegal narcotics sales. A 42-year-old South Philadelphia man was charged with possession of illegal narcotics.

— At 7:05 p.m. Oct. 18, a man was accosted by another man demanding money on South 12th Street. The victim gave the male $2 while a witness called 911. Sixth District Officer Reid apprehended the suspect while he was still on the scene. The 49-year-old suspect with a Germantown address was charged with robbery and related offenses.

SUMMARY ARRESTS

— On Oct. 14, 6th District officers issued a citation for summary offenses at 9 a.m. outside 1300 Walnut St. and 11:10 a.m. outside 1222 Chestnut St.

— On Oct. 16, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 8:45 a.m. outside 1324 Walnut St., 2:25 p.m. outside 400 S. Juniper St., 10:15 p.m. outside 1203 Locust St., 11 p.m. outside 1300 Locust St. and 11:30 p.m. outside 1100 Chestnut St.

— On Oct. 17, 6th District officers issued a citation for summary offenses at 4 p.m. outside 1225 Spruce St. and 11:35 p.m. outside 1201 Chestnut St.

— At 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18, Center City District officers issued a citation for theft of service for failure to pay a restaurant bill at the Olive Garden, 1346 Chestnut St.

— On Oct. 19, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 2:10 a.m. outside 1200 Chancellor St. and 3:25 a.m. outside 809 Locust St. at 3:25 AM.
