INCIDENTS

— Between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 7, someone stole a secured bicycle from outside 1113 Market St. — At 2 a.m. Sept. 27, a complainant left a bar with a male and went to a parking lot at 12th and Walnut streets to have sex. During the encounter, the male performed an act objectionable to the complainant. On Oct. 9, the complainant filed a police report for rape. The suspect is known to the complainant by first name. The Special Victims Unit is investigating. — On Oct. 11, a resident returned home to the 1000 block of Spruce Street and saw a male leaving the apartment, which had a damaged door. A watch, checkbook, speakers and a cross with a chain were missing. The suspect was described as a 35-year-old Hispanic male, 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, with dark hair in a pony tail, clean-shaven wearing dark-blue clothing and carrying a red bag. Sixth District Officer Minnis attempted to lift fingerprints. — At 9:15 p.m. Oct. 11, a man was stopped by two males at 13th and Pine streets who asked for directions. The man says the men gave him a sob story and tricked him into giving them his credit card and watch, and said they would give him money when they returned, but they didn’t return. The suspects were described as black males with African accents in their mid-40s. One was 6-foot-1 with a dark complexion and beard, wearing a black leather jacket, while the other was 5-foot-10 with a dark complexion and beard, wearing a gray hoodie under a black puffy jacket. — Between 6 p.m. Oct. 8 and noon Oct. 9, someone stole a secured bicycle from outside 211 S. Broad St.

NON-SUMMARY ARRESTS

— At 10:15 a.m. Oct. 7, a male asked a woman for money while she walked in the subway concourse at 11th and Market streets. She refused, and the male pushed her against the wall and attempted to steal her handbag. Two passengers got off a Market-Frankford El train and intervened, holding the male until nearby SEPTA police arrived. The 46-year-old homeless suspect was charged with robbery and related offenses. — At 7:50 p.m. Oct. 8, a witness called 911 after observing a male attempting to use a wrench to remove the wheels of a secured bicycle outside 1300 Pine St. Sixth District Officer Corrado apprehended the suspect in the 300 block of South Broad Street. The 20-year-old suspect with a South Philadelphia address was charged with attempted theft. — At 10 p.m. Oct. 9, 6th District Officers Ferrero and Green apprehended a male at 13th and Locust streets after they viewed a home-security video of a male who stole a Fed Ex package from a doorstep in the 900 block of Bonaparte Place on July 12, and again on Oct. 2. The 42-year-old homeless male with an amputated leg was charged with two counts of theft. — At 9:55 p.m. Oct. 11, 6th District Officer Ferrero arrested a male outside 1300 Pine St. who was wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear for court. The 44-year-old suspect with a homeless-shelter address was charged with contempt of court. — On Oct. 12, the 6th District Narcotic Enforcement Team was assigned to the 13th Street corridor and at 9 p.m. observed an illegal narcotics transaction outside 302 S. 13th St. Two males, 19 and 17, both with North Philadelphia addresses, were arrested and charged with illegal narcotic sales and another suspect was charged with possession of marijuana. A quantity of marijuana and cash was confiscated from the suspects. — At 2:55 a.m. Oct. 13, two males got into an argument over a female outside 1222 Locust St., and one allegedly threatened the other with a handgun. The one male attempted to flee the area, but 6th District Officer Butler was nearby and alerted to the incident. Butler apprehended the man, but a car he had attempted to enter drove away, apparently with the firearm inside. The 25-year-old suspect with a South Philadelphia address was charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.

SUMMARY ARRESTS

— At 8:40 p.m. Oct. 8, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1208 Walnut St. — At 11:45 a.m. Oct. 8, Center City District officers arrested three males outside 1201 Market St. for public intoxication. — At 12:10 a.m. Oct. 9, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1308 Locust St. — At 2:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 200 S. Watts St. — On Oct. 12, 6th District officers issued citations for summary offenses at 1:05 a.m. outside 1309 Locust St., 1:40 a.m. outside 800 Addison St. and 7:15 p.m. outside 942 Market St. — At 3:10 a.m. Oct. 13, 6th District officers issued a citation for a summary offense outside 1222 Locust St.
