Of course I am talking about one of the few Republicans who seems to get it “left” when it comes to rights.
According to a post on the New York Daily News, the Republican daughter of the Senator, Megan McCain who has caught criticism from the good ole’ boys in the GOP for speaking out about the Palin debacle has taken her voice public to denounce the candidacy of Christine O’Donnell.
With some very good points, she should be echoed by other’s in her party, but with so many divided over gay rights, I think few are as brave as McCain because they fear distancing their supporters if they speak out against an emerging tea-party celeb.
But that’s not keeping Megan from saying it like she sees it.
According to the post:
“Christine O’Donnell is making a mockery of running for public office,” McCain said. “She has no real history, no real success in any kind of business.”
McCain, 26, says O’Donnell is not just unqualified but a bad role model, telling ABC the message she “sends to my generation is: one day you can just wake and run for Senate, no matter how [much of] a lack of experience you have.”
Well, if there is such a thing, McCain definitely seems like she’s the voice of reason coming from the right…hopefully that voice will resonate.
