I have yesterday returned from a week in Philly and 5 of these evenings were spent in Devon Grill between 5 and 8 PM. During 430 and 7 You can order any appetizer from the menu for USD 6.50. And oysters for 75 cents a piece. They also have discounted signature drinks and martinis! And lobster for USD12 (all sold out every night around 6...) I have had the burger, the calamari, the broiled oysters, the hot shrimps, 6 dozen oysters, 1 martini, 3 other signature drinks and their beer on tap. Not a single item on the menu was less than delicious, and, extremely affordable. Go, sit at the bar and enjoy! Best deal in Philly. And NOT expensive after 7PM either. Lovely prix fixe menu for USD 35, and the best crab cakes in Philly! I am somewhat of an oyster aficionado as You might understand and I am VERY sensitive to any off taste or colour. EVERYTHING served here is absolutely fresh and well made. The owner is also a VERY good boss, who immediately, and against my insistency, struck off an item from my bill when my reserved lobster was sold to somebody else. The localities are nice and comfy, it´s on Rittenhouse square, staff is mostly very nice. Who could possibly ask for more. Next year in Philly You will find me there again. Every night.
